Many photographers undertake a “Project 365” – they take a photo a day for a year as a project to stretch their creativity and just get better at their craft, or just for fun. I’ve always thought it was a great idea, but it’s also a pretty big undertaking, and this year I thought I would do something smaller – a photo a week. It turns out I’m not the only photographer thinking that way! All of a sudden, I’ve seen “Project 52” everywhere! This is the first image from my Project 52. I’m a little late on the posting, but I did take it during the first week of the year.
This is one of the things I love about living in my husband’s hometown. Getting to see the mountains all the time is a pretty big perk – I grew up in the sandhills and although I still love the prairie, I love this, too. I can even see these mountains from my living and dining room windows, although that’s not where I took this photo from. And when houses go up and block that view, I’m moving! 🙂
