June was the first date for 2022 minis. The first session kicked off in Waterton for this family photographer! The forecast looked good, but as I waited for the first family to arrive, the sky got darker and the wind picked up and during these photos we even had rain drops for awhile. These families were troopers and made it look good. Alberta kids are the toughest kids!
We had a bit of space between each session so we were able to mostly wait out the rain and shoot when it wasn’t raining too hard.
Family photo outfits can be one of the most stressful parts of family photos. The first family stuck to light colors with a soft blue mixed in and they really stand out against the mountain backdrop. The second family chose a coral color, and it’s a slightly muted or dusty version of the color which works so well for photos! The third family pictured here opted for neutrals too. One tip for choosing colors is to look at your home and where you want to display photos and make sure to avoid colors that would clash. Neutrals and more muted colors can be a great option to blend with most home decor.
The rest of the summer is filling up quickly and fall dates are booking, too. Visit families.kinseyholt.com for the schedule and online booking for your Waterton family photographer!
Thanks to these families for taking pictures even in the cold! June is always a little iffy weather wise but it worked out in the end. Love these mountain views and getting to see old families and meet new ones! There is one more summer date in Waterton, and then late September. Grab your mini session here before they’re all booked!
