This shoot was a slightly crazy idea – Kaylee and I agreed to shoot each other’s family photos, and then I talked about going to Waterton, and then Kaylee suggested going together and get them all done on one night, so we ended up in Waterton. It was my first session shot wearing a maxi dress (photos coming soon)! We climbed up the side of a mountain on the road to Red Rock Canyon, and my husband, already nervous about bears, watched a black bear trot down the road towards him as we were way ahead of him up the slope. Luckily for all of us, the bear disappeared down into the trees on the other side of the road from us and we didn’t see it again!
These kids were just the best – cutest, easiest kids to photograph. After we switched off taking photos, we took the kids into the townsite for ice cream, of course! And my three-year-old decided that the Ralph family was so awesome, she was going home with them. She was running to their vehicle with all of their fun kids, and she was pretty disappointed when she learned that she had to come home with us instead. Thanks Ralphs!
