Everything about this wedding was so pretty! Kyle and Desirae have been together for 11 years. They first met in elementary school, then went to school together for junior high & high school and graduated together! They started dating in grade 9 and have been together ever since. Now they are married! They both grew up in the Brooks/Duchess area on acreages 10 minutes apart. A perfect Saturday would be sleeping in, going for brunch and spending the day working in our yard or spending time with their cattle.
I arrived on the their wedding day a little concerned about the weather. The wind was crazy and they were planning an outdoor ceremony! When I arrived in the yard, some of the chairs had blown over. By the time the ceremony started, however; the wind had died down. They had a special knot ceremony during their farmyard ceremony, and so many family members and friends came to see them exchange their vows! Following the ceremony, they had a special champagne toast and of course hugs and congratulations all around! We took family photos in their yard, and then the bridal party headed off for the canola fields! They were troopers, literally trooping through chest-high canola to get to a spot for photos. Their bridal party was awesome. For Kyle and Desirae by themselves, we went for a drive to the grazing lease – one of my favorite types of locations!
When I asked these two what they love most about each other, they told me they love how well they get along, how much compassion they have for each other, how they always make each other smile and support each other, and more! These two really are the best of friends and I was so honored to get to spend their big day with them! Thanks Kyle and Desirae!
